High school student
Sava's interest in technology led him to explore mobile phone applications. His innovative app, to be released to the public in September, uses bluetooth-enabled mobile phones to connect strangers via shared interests.
Based on this project, Sava has had a paper accepted to the IEEE Social Computing Conference at the Massachussets Institute of Technology, in the US, which he will attend in October 2011. IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) is the world's largest professional assocation for the advancement of technology, and has its history linked to world innovators such as Alexander Graham Bell and Nikola Tesla.
At TEDxYouth@ISB, Sava will demonstrate the possible applications of this new technology and how mobile technologies can facilitate face-to-face interactions and collaboration- even in regions with restricted internet access.
