Ivana Djurisic

Projects and Communication Manager at the British Council in Serbia

Through her position at the British Council, Ivana has been actively engaged in implementing several initiatives in Serbia.

One of the first ones, called "Beautiful Science", was intended at providing international exposure to local young scientists from 9 countries, including Serbia. This project evolved into FameLab, a competition for scientists between 18 and 35 years old who are passionate about their work.

Mirko Djordevic, FameLab Serbia winner in 2009 (and overall international winner at the Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK), has started off a TV career as a science presenter. This is the kind of opportunity that FameLab wishes to provide to its participants.

At TEDxYouth@ISB, Ivana will share the successes of the British Coucil programmes for young scientists and how you can participate.
